The Ambassadors are dedicated Chamber members who are the backbone of our volunteers. The Ambassadors welcome attendees at Chamber events and mentor new members. Ambassadors also participate in member grand openings and ribbon cuttings. This group of elite Chamber volunteers is enlisted by invitation only.
FREELANCE & MICROBUSINESS COUNCIL
The Freelance & Microbusiness Council (FMBC) provides education, mentoring, collaboration, and community for Chamber members who are solopreneurs, freelancers, and business owners working from home with fewer than 5 employees.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING COMMITTEE
The Economic Development Committee works to retain and recruit new businesses into the South Fulton area. This committee works with each of the seven municipal governments and the County and State in the recruitment of major companies to the area. This committee also markets the Chamber by creating publications that promote the South Fulton area to prospective retail, restaurants, movie studios, entertainment companies, air cargo, major manufacturers, warehouse and logistics companies.
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
The mission of the Intergovernmental Affairs committee is to keep the business community informed and up-to-date on topics related to governmental and regulatory affairs. This committee plans Legislative Days at the State Capitol, hosts the Chamber’s annual “State of the County Luncheon”, conducts annual State Legislative Roundtables and an annual Mayor’s Roundtable.
The Membership Committee works on the bi-monthly Membership Luncheons, the bi-monthly Eggs & Issues Breakfasts, monthly Business After-Hours and quarterly Small Business Institutes for our Chamber members. This committee is also responsible for the Chamber’s Annual Membership Drives.
SPECIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE
The Special Events Committee is responsible for the Chamber’s signature events; including the Synergy Business Expo in the Spring, the Annual Golf Tournament in the fall and the Annual Awards Luncheon in the winter.
Work with local municipalities, county, state government, MARTA and other transit authorities to address the transportation issues facing in South Fulton and throughout the Southern Crescent and the metropolitan Atlanta area. Also, since South Fulton enjoys some of the best transportation connectivity in the metro-Atlanta area, this committee is dedicated to preserving and improving connectivity initiatives.
